question of nv_peer_memory 1.3 update and persistent page

Just compare nv_peer_memory 1.3 new update code vs. previous version, but still not very clear what is the purpose of this new release, could you elaborate more on this new update? And could you explain more about this new persistent page feature? e.g. why we add and the roadmap of it ?
