This is very counter intuitive, i would never think that AddPackageAsync nor PackageManager.RequestAddPackageByAppInstallerFileAsync will do the update, the only method that I would guess is doing update is.... wait for it.... PackageManager.UpdatePackageAsync as the name indicates.
