Sujay is interested in having ESMF process low-level SMAP transect products (for example) for use in LIS/LDT. OCGIS can be used as a pre-processor to create ESMF-compatible inputs. Initially, the transformations can be done with scripting with the goal of integrating the operations into OCGIS.
