Dotfiles are User-specific application configuration is traditionally stored in so called dotfiles (files whose filename starts with a dot).
Dotfiles manager is a tool/framework that help you store dotfiles (or any files) in a way that can easily be re-installed (bootstrap) on other computer or when you re-install your OS, this is especially useful for distro-hopper.
There are various approaches to managing your dotfiles, one of them are SuperB Bootstrap
Terminal allows the user access to a text terminal and all its applications such as command-line interfaces (
CLI) and text user interface (TUI) applications.
Why choose CLI (command-line interfaces) applications over GUI (graphical user interface) applications?
- This is because
CLIapplications may be more difficult to use but it is way more advanced and can be easily integrated with each other, which is not possible with mostGUIapplications.
