📂 Dotfiles

Dotfiles are User-specific application configuration is traditionally stored in so called dotfiles (files whose filename starts with a dot).

Dotfiles manager is a tool/framework that help you store dotfiles (or any files) in a way that can easily be re-installed (bootstrap) on other computer or when you re-install your OS, this is especially useful for distro-hopper.

There are various approaches to managing your dotfiles, one of them are Home manager.

📟 Terminal

Terminal allows the user access to a text terminal and all its applications such as command-line interfaces (CLI) and text user interface (TUI) applications.

Q: Why choose CLI (command-line interfaces) applications over GUI (graphical user interface) applications?

A: This is because CLI applications may be more difficult to use but it is way more advanced and can be easily integrated with each other, which is not possible with most GUI applications.
