I don't know whether this is an issue on my end only or not, but to me all GitLab badges show a red "401" right field (see below).

Thanks for noticing this issue!
I encounter the same issue, here and on badgen.net where the GitLab badges are generated.
I don't know how to fix this issue, unfortunately!
