Possibly directly tied to #2188

Completely new Pixel 9 Pro XL + Android 14, with almost no apps installed except KISS.

Retracting the keyboard and the App-Switching leads KISS to enter a crashed state, that:

  • Makes the AppSwitcher stop displaying Thumbnails of all Apps
  • Makes KISS a Grey or Empty Page when selecting it in the App Switcher
  • Makes KISS fully inaccessible, until it is killed in the App Switcher

This is very consistently reproducible and happens very often throughout the day.

Theory

As previously posed by @ToNIX- in post #2188 (comment), this issue may be similar to the linked one, with animation playing a role in the crash. I separated this into a new issue, ad this issue seems to occur specifically after the keyboard has been retracted, whereas previously this happened upon successive app switches. More over I see weird behavior around KISS hiding itself from the AppSwitcher, so I pose that this has something to do with KISS removing itself from the AppSwitcher and thus tripping it up somehow. Why this happens consistently after removing the keyboard, I'm not sure. this does not happen when calling the keyboard, but consistently happens when back swiping to hide it.
