I haven't looked at Vorta for a while. IIRC, the one thing where Vorta and Borg-Qt differ the most is that Vorta runs as a daemon and Borg-Qt is only a simple interface and stuff like repeating jobs is done through Systemd.
I would need to have a look at Vorta again.
The reason why Borg-Qt exists is mostly that it was my thesis and that is finished now :).
There are still a lot of features that one could add.
However I'm currently thinking about switching to Restic.
So one feature could be to support both restic and borg. I don't know if Vorta wants to have this or already does.
Besides that I'm currently working on another project so I haven't really touched Borg-Qt in a while but have it still running on my laptop.

@Nebucatnetzer did you compare these?
e.g. what's missing in vorta that is in borg-qt? or vice versa.
maybe it would be a good idea to unite forces in 1 project.
