Hi,
I would ask if the Headless Burp Scanner has been tested with Burp Pro 2.1.x. because in different testing that I have run these always show "Extender: Headless Burp Scanner: # remaining items in scan queue at #####" and the Headless Burp Scanner doesn't do anything more. I had left running for hours but never finish.
Unfortuantely no, the extensions havent been tested with the newest versions.
I am aware that the spider and scanner tools have been refactored within burp internally. This causes some issues for us wrt. to the scanner plugin.
I currently do not have a professional burp license anymore so, a fix for this might take some time.
@anandsudhir@alejatatin i've figured out part of the problem, i was able to replicate, by using an existing project , if i feed a new project it bugs exactlys like in the Java room 15 presentation, and that is a bug which mr Anandsudhir may be familiar and able to help us, so, with the a clean project in the scanning phase it show Extender: Headless Burp Scanner: Scanning [0] from sitemap, same as what happened in java room 15, mr @anandsudhir do you remind what have you done to fix that, at the time ?
Hi @m4udSec and @alejatatin , I have now tested headless-burp with Burp v2020.9. I also had the same issue where Burp would run indefinitely when started with an existing project. For this reason I have modified the files off-line to introduce a scan timeout. At this time I don't know how to fix the issue and the timeout functions well enough for me so far.
M4, as you said, if you start with a blank .burp or with a .bur that doesn't actually exist, this infinite wait will be avoided. However, when doing this I noticed that I had many fewer scan results.

I have run the scanner using the command:
