Fixed it with setting nixpkgs.config.cudaSupport = true either globally or using overlay for this package

Do you use proprietary drivers or opensource ones?

I was already using the proprietary drivers and I had the cudasupport on. I am using it in offfoad mode, usign nvidia-smi I can see it working, am using ollama with cuda. Just that mission center does not show the nvidia gpu.

Oh, sorry, I confused this for btop. Mission center doesn't show GPU for me as well, I ended up switching to btop which works if cudaSupport is enabled

Fixed for me after re-installing a newer version of nvidia proprietary driver : nvidia-driver-550
