Aspect Ratio settings missing

Aspect ratio settings are missing from Retroarch only on Onion OS. This is not an issue for the Retroarch repo as it only affects Onion OS, nor is it anything to do with MainUI as the stock firmware version of RA has all of the aspect ratio settings.
For some reason these settings are missing from Onion OS and Onion OS only, hence putting the report here.

Steps to Reproduce

Open the Retroarch menu, go to settings -> video -> scaling.
Instead of the expected aspect ratio parameter there is only a binary choice between 4:3 (full screen) and 1:1 PAR.

Provide any additional context or information that may help us investigate your issue

The absence of the AR settings make it impossible to get the correct aspect ratio for some systems, e.g. Master System.

Ok, I found a bit more info. It seems like the AR settings were removed from the video driver, I guess it provides some performance boost? I was wondering if there could be an option to select between a fully featured driver (like the one on the stock firmware) and the cut down one? The systems that would most benefit from custom aspect ratios are the less demanding ones, e.g Master System, so it would be nice to be able to select based on the demands of the system being emulated.
