Dear OSP-community,
We have been working on a PBPK model of the MATE1, OCT1, OCT2 and CYP2C8 perpetrator drug trimethoprim. The model is able to predict and describe drug-drug(-gene) interactions with metformin (MATE1, OCT1 and OCT2 victim drug), repaglinide (CYP2C8 victim drug), pioglitazone (CYP2C8 victim drug) and rifampicin (CYP3A4 and P-gp perpetrator drug).
The corresponding manuscript, including comprehensive documentation, has been published online in Pharmaceutics and the trimethoprim model as well as PK-Sim projects presenting the predicted DD(G)I studies can be found here

Best regards,
Denise
