We have a built-in camera in the upper left, front corner of the OT-2. Unfortunately, there are no straightforward commands in our existing Opentrons API that let people use this camera in their protocol.

I would LOVE a set of commands to monitor only a particular step in a protocol, to record an entire protocol start to end (without needing to know the time it will take for the protocol to run), and to take snapshots of the deck after certain steps. Save the photos and videos in a way that someone can easily access it later to make sure that particular action worked as expected.

Alternatively, add buttons to the OT-2 app that can start/stop recording or take a snapshot of the deck when you click it.
