Boosted v5.2.1 is here! — following Bootstrap v5.2.1 — This version is based on the patch release of Bootstrap limited to bug fixes, documentation updates, and some dependency updates. We took the opportunity to add specific Boosted content detailed below.

Please review the GitHub v5.2.1 changelog for a complete list of changes since our previous release, and have a look at Boosted website in version 5.

New Tags component

New Tags component is finally here! Shout out to @vogloblinsky who helped us ship this one!

It has several variants to be used in different contexts. Try them out!

New dark variants

You'll find in Boosted v5.2.1 the finalization of the dark variants of the components.

mark / .mark

The rendering of the mark HTML tag (and the .mark class) has been revamped to offer better accessibility.

It is directly used by our search results provided by Algolia.

.img-thumbnail

.img-thumbnail has been revamped and it is now described in the documentation.

CSS variables

We continued our work to provide CSS variables for all our components in Boosted.

They are now available for the Navs, Close Button, several variants of buttons, Navbars, and Alerts.

Documentation latest URLs

It wasn't very handy to link to the latest version of Boosted without having to add the version number (e.g. https://boosted.orange.com/docs/5.2/components/buttons)

You can now use directly https://boosted.orange.com/docs/components/buttons and you will be redirected to the latest version of your page.
Obviously, you can still refer to previous URLs like https://boosted.orange.com/docs/4.0/components/buttons.

Better migration guide

We know that migrations between versions can be hard!

From now, we'll mention in detail in our migration guide the modifications that could impact your project for a migration.
It won't include the fixed bugs and documentation modifications unless we think it can be impactful.
Unfortunately we can't do the work backward so we begin with this new version and the corresponding migration guide from the v5.2.0 to the v5.2.1.
Let us know what you think while you're migrating so that we can spot exactly what you need.
