I'm running a couple of servers in docker containers on one machine using an IPVlan network. They don't appear in the Friends tab for Xbox or Windows clients on the network, and I'm not 100% sure why but I suspect the UDP discovery broadcasts are not hitting the physical LAN. I can join the servers fine from Windows and an Android device by entering server info, but that's not an option on the Xbox.
I started searching for info on the bedrock server protocols, and am wondering if there's a way I can fake the UDP broadcasts from the machine hosting the docker interfaces. I assume they're something quite basic that include the IP address and gameplay port, so wondered if I could just send them out given that I know the IP addresses in question.
This may be the wrong place but I figured if anyone knows it'd be someone involved in this repo!
