Thank you very much for your support for pyav. I would like to ask whether there is a plan to support gpu hardware acceleration from 13.0, such as vaapi and qsv. |

@kartikeyporwal It looks like you're using ffmpeg 5 which pyav 13 drops. |

@WyattBlue, thanks for confirming. I am using Would that mean if I want to use PyAV 13, I will have to either build ffmpeg 6 onwards from source or use the prebuilt binary? Also, I am wondering if there are all the release notes of PyAV maintained somewhere? I could not find it! Thanks again. |

The release date will be around September 1st to September 5th. I'm probably going to wait until Python 3.13rc2 is released since it's possible for the ABI to change although Python tells us it shouldn't.
