📌 Summary

Throughout the 24 months of the grant, the team will dedicate resources to sustainability essential tasks such as testing, community outreach, and general maintenance.

📝 Background

Ensuring the projects' long-term sustainability and maintainability is of paramount importance. As such, the team will also work on:

  • Automated testing improvements[12] using Playwright [13] for general integration and visual testing for accessibility.
  • General maintenance, including working on high-impact issues in the projects' issue trackers related to any of the deliverables of this proposal, as well as any unexpected bugs arising from this work.
  • Community outreach and communication. The proposed work will be managed openly by publishing the audit outcomes and the working roadmap and ensuring accessibility and usability-related improvements are properly signalled in releases and community communications. We will also develop accessibility-focused tutorials and documentation for contributors (how to assess for and make accessibility contributions) and end-users (how to make their visualizations more accessible and use the new features).
