- three PRs need to be merged into pydata/pydata-sphinx-theme#1564
- once those PRs are merged in @gabalafou will fix CI issues, and we can do a last QA/overall check on the theme

Other work items we discussed working in the future:

• general playwright testing for the theme
• mobile improvements needed in the future

• Fix a11y tests (currently broken because of bug in tests and new Axe-core release)
