Using Qupzilla 1.4.3 on Fedora 18
Category: Bookmark import wizard improvement (see #458 )

How about making the file manager automatically select the bookmark file if it is available? This will in many cases reduce the need to browse for it in file system.

Current status:

  1. step: let user decide from where to import the bookmarks (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, HTML)
  2. step: Dialog shows a path where to (usually) find the bookmarks
  3. step: user needs to find the file using a file manager starting in ~ (not ~/.opera/ , ~/.mozilla/firefox/[profilename]/ , etc where the bookmarks file is located)
  4. step: user confirms the dialog from step 2

Improved wizard:

  1. step: see above
  2. step: If default bookmark file was found user may just skip step 3 and continue to step 5. This should be optional so that the user is still able to select the file as he currently can in step 3.

Actually, it would have selected the first profile anyways .. So it's not really good to have it (assuming user have more than one profile in other browsers)
