The Unarchiver for macOS is a great utility that handles pretty much everything. A stripped-down UNIX terminal version of The Unarchiver's core is packaged in Debian as unar, but the version available in Debian stable (jessie) is a bit dated now. Should we backport the version from Debian testing/unstable to jessie?

As with other stuff, the contents of the wheezy package are:

usr/local/bin/unar
usr/local/bin/lsar
usr/local/man/man1/unar.1
usr/local/man/man1/lsar.1
