Dear RuleBender developers,

I have an issue with plotting results in RuleBender. If the number of different simulations in one run is more than ~7-9, RuleBender freezes while trying to plot all these results. Waiting does not help, the CPU usage by java process is high, but nothing happens for a long time.

Would it be possible to set up option not to plot results in simulate command?

Kind regards,
Oleksii

Hi @OleksiiR, unfortunately I have seen the same thing, thankfully RB saves the state so I generally reset it after.

Are you trying to run a large number of runs? If so, the easiest way is to probably use BNG directly from the command line.

I'll take a look at a way to not plot upon simulate command now and update you.

I'll keep looking for a nicer alternative but a quick hack to try is to go to Window > Preferences and look under General > Editors > File Associations and then find .gdat file format, add a new associated editor and select Text Editor and make that the default temporarily. This will still force open a new window every time you run a simulation but it will now open a text editor instead. I'm not sure if it will stop it from hanging but it's something quick to test.
