I've been using SEB along with our school's exam system for years, but the marking workflow is fairly inefficient. Google Forms' Quiz-function on the other hand, which clumps all identical answers together, has a much quicker workflow and is great for vocabulary/grammar quizzes. It also provides a much better output format in the form of a spreadsheet which means you can actually analyze your data in a meaningful way if you want to improve the test over time.
But, I've only used Forms in very low stakes situations (e.g. weekly vocab quizzes and the like) since I haven't found a way to lock it down. So it's just manual surveillance by standing in the back of class while the students fill out the quiz. Obviously I know there's cheating going on and I catch it from time to time.
So I tried setting up SEB manually to direct to one of my quizzes, but I never get past the submit-link. I've been able to generate a config file to open the appropriate quiz in lockdown mode, but never been able to have it properly submit the form. I'm assuming there's some script or another URL involved in the submit step which is blocked. Does anyone know of a workable way to get it to work? Whitelist the right URL? Allow a certain process to be run or something of the like? I'd be happy with avoiding Google Authentication and just having them write their name in one of the form items, so all I need is a working submit-button.
