What happened?

Hi,

I have changed firefox-standalone image to use latest version and I'm getting and error when starting session
org.openqa.selenium.SessionNotCreatedException: Could not start a new session. Response code 500. Message: Could not start a new session. Error while creating session with the driver service. Stopping driver service: Could not start a new session. Response code 500. Message: Failed to read marionette port
I checked older versions one by one and 109.0 is working but 110.0 and latter are not

Command used to start Selenium Grid with Docker

docker run --name=asm-selenium-grid -d -p 4444:4444 -p 7900:7900 --shm-size=2g --net=asm_tests_network -u 1001:100 selenium/standalone-firefox:112.0

Relevant log output

org.openqa.selenium.SessionNotCreatedException: Could not start a new session. Response code 500. Message: Could not start a new session. Error while creating session with the driver service. Stopping driver service: Could not start a new session. Response code 500. Message: Failed to read marionette port

Hi, @Kamui123.
Please follow the issue template, we need more information to reproduce the issue.

Either a complete code snippet and URL/HTML (if more than one file is needed, provide a GitHub repo and instructions to run the code), the specific versions used, or a more detailed description to help us understand the issue.

Note: If you cannot share your code and URL/HTML, any complete code snippet and URL/HTML that reproduces the issue is good enough.

Reply to this issue when all information is provided, thank you.

Can you share the code you are running against the Grid to get that error?

WebDriver driver = new RemoteWebDriver(new URL("http://localhost:4444"), new FirefoxOptions());

That is not the same code, I can see the capabilities in the log with more options and a profile. It is hard to help if you do not give us a way to reproduce the issue.

Sorry about that. Indeed it was log from some older try. I have updated log in description.

Might be a problem on your host because I cannot replicate. What do you see in the Grid logs?

It was good idea to check Grid logs. I have found lot of permission denied errors during session creation.
(firefox:480): dconf-CRITICAL **: 16:26:40.345: unable to create directory '/home/seluser/.cache/dconf': Permission denied. dconf will not work properly.
I figured out that it may be caused by user permissions.
After removing -u 1001:100 parameters from docker run command everything works fine

Thank you for help
