How Hydrogen would implement Google Analytics Integration

Shopify theme built by Liquid can integrate with Universal Google Analytics easily.
When using Hydrogen in a production environment, How should I implement it？
（I think it would be integrated with Google Analytics 4....）

Do I have to integrate it by myself?
or It has some support like Shopify Liquid theme like below?

I think it is very important for using it in a production environment.

I think it would be useful to have events set up in advance for components such as the Add Cart button🤔

I'm on the same boat, considering using https://getanalytics.io/ with it's GTM integration (https://getanalytics.io/plugins/google-tag-manager/) and from there - push data to all other analytics services - probably using GTM Server Container, so we avoid issues with adblocks.

They also have hooks, which should make it easier to setup events onClick:

If anyone does the work and defines some basic events in google tag manager and shares them here would be super helpful.
One more thing, once the checkout is reached user gets redirected to standard Shopify checkout process. Therefore Shopify Analytics takes over. It tracks all the events within the checkout process in Shopify Admin. I am guessing if Google Analytics is setup in Shopify Admin it would also share the checkout tracking data.

We ended not using this library, it didn't make things simpler for us. Currently working with Elevar to get our GTM set up.

@tomotomy @patryk-smc At the moment you have to instrument the events yourself. We have plans to introduce an analytics abstraction to Hydrogen that can easily integrate with GA or any analytics provider. That probably won't come until after we ship Hydrogen 1.0
