Reading board setting from a file to avoid errors

I have ATtiny3217 Nano DIP boards in production. The factory also does the burning of the bootloader. The problem is that the required board settings can only be done manually and that is very prone to errors.
Therefore, it would be an improvement if the board settings could also be read from a settings-file.

I saw that the board settings are stored in:
C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Arduino15\preferences.txt
I suppose that if you delete this file and restart Arduino, you will get the default settings back.
Can you simply save the preferences.txt file and reuse it to load the correct board settings when burning the bootloader?
