So according to our wiki

The "type" of the event. One of eight categories defined by the CPCEED program

I know @NilsG-S was on his own with making this part of the document so I am taking this with a grain of salt. So essentially, what I am trying to determine is, is this true?

If not, what are Event Categories?

I should clarify that not all of the categories will necessarily have events associated with them. Professor meetings, for instance, will never have public events. The purpose of having a category for events is to ensure that people have their attendance points correctly distributed.
