On Fire TV, unable to select a path

I am using a standard Fire TV and when I download an emulator, then click paths, the file browser will appear, but it will freeze until I press the back button.

I found a workaround, which is to have a keyboard and mouse on the TV. I was able to select the file paths I was looking for. This is not a good solution, as you need to set this up, and there are caveats. When I am on the file select screen, the cursor is invisible. You can still click things, but it's a total guess because you can't tell where you are clicking. If a keyboard is connected to the TV, then you can use the "TAB" key to hover the UI element, and the "ENTER" key to select it.
