    Bug fix: 'open_executable' did not clear existing output files.
    
    Without this fix, the generated example code would have garbage at the
    end of file in case a longer file with the same name existed before
    the example code was written.

    This removes some bugs where the rule-set optimisation would
    confuse strings like "!" with the corresponding operators.
    Also clean up the process of extracting the rules from the

    Allow to replace nonterminal symbols by numbers in the parser output.
    
    If the new command line option '-r' is given, the generated parser
    uses numeric codes instead of the full nonterminal symbols in the
    parse tree.  This reduces the size of the parsing tables and also may
    allow for faster parsing.  A new class attribute 'nonterminals'
    contains a dictionary mapping numeric codes to the corresponding
    symbols.

    Since this method is an efficient way to generate parsers for general

    Update wisent to use a parser generated by itself.
    
    The parser of wisent is now autogenerated from the grammar in
    "grammar.wi".  As a side-effect, grammars can now use the operators
    "*" (repeat a token 0 or more times) and "+" (repeat a token 1 or more
    times.
