What should we add?

Hi, the GDI is a relative new index what calculate the convective potential and is widely used ritgh now in América, Galvez and Davision are from NOAA International Desks, please add it to metpy.

@Raghavan-B There's already an open PR adding the functionality in #3121 (be sure to check the activity above before jumping on an issue 😉 ).
