Wouldn't it be great if netcdf-c could read NcML? #1478

It would be great if the C library could, like the Java library, understand NcML files.

This would be a great way for users to aggregate data sets that are too big to fit in one data file, or that are written to multiple files for performance reasons.

I'm going to close this issue. It would be great if someone could accomplish this, but I don't believe it will be me. ;-) NOAA has many challenges with netCDF data, but this is not one of them.
