  • Almost all of the sensors purchased from ebay, aliexpress, etc, are counterfeit: https://github.com/cpetrich/counterfeit_DS18B20 - this explains why parasitic mode is failing. However, they are cheap and could well be good enough for this use case. caveat emptor!
