When clicking on a link that is opened in an external browser (in my case Edge) the GUI window freezes and does not become responsive again. Even aftet the Edge window has been closed.

i do not experience this issue on current master on windows

Have you tried the release binaries?

either binary as well as dev mode works fine for me.
