Sponsorship

If this request requires additional support (e.g., such as direct email/phone/meeting/development), I have the following interest in helping to sponsor the effort via GitHub Sponsors:

  • None, please continute to work for me for free :P
  • Absolutely, I get value out of this!
  • Maybe later
  • I'm already a sponsor... Woot!

Is your feature request related to a problem?

It is less a problem, but maybe something that really makes a difference to to core DNN user management, I often have the task to

  • create a user using a standard password
  • then edit the user and click "Force password change"
  • then assign some roles.

I always wondered why no one got the idea to do all of this in one step...

Describe the solution you'd like

  • A checkbox "Force password change on first login"
  • An additional tab to assign roles when the user is created

on the "Create user" control.

Or - anyway: Why do you need an "Edit user" control and a "User roles" control? Why not creating a tabbed interface to handle all user information and actions at once? (User | Profile | Roles | Admin Actions (like deactivate user, delete...)

We're open to updating/changing things. It wasn't a matter of whether or not that was the "right" thing to do. Part of the early stages of this module was an internal training exercise. So things like that won't be perfect. ;)

By the way, I LOVE this idea. :)
