After Feb 28th update that fixed the clamp when turning, scrolling now gets clamped..

Like if I scroll the mouse it sometimes jumps and sometimes doesn't jump.. and if it does jump it won't jump again if I scroll again.. (This behavior is new with this update.. Before the update it used to jump normally when scrolling)..

My mouse is Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 (wireless)... If I use another (wired) generic mouse the scrolling is fine..

Scrolling as in moving the middle mouse wheel?

Yes.. If I scroll up or down (move the wheel that's in the middle of the right and left click button)..

Even if I move it slow or fast it's the same result.. And it only happens with the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 (wireless).. If I revert back to Feb18th build it functions properly (I can jump around with no problems).. With March 1st update.. It sometimes jumps sometimes doesn't, and if it does jump it won't jump again until I keep on scrolling for a while..

I would also like to add that this behavior doesn't only happen in game, if I try to set a key in controls options it feels the same way, (as if it's barely registering the scroll)..

I'm getting the exact same problem. Seems like there is no fix for my mouse unless I update the driver. The reason I'd prefer not updating my driver is because with the new driver my jump is delayed when I bunnyhop using the scroll wheel. Also know that my mouse worked perfectly without the updated drivers before the mid february updates. Please find a fix alfred. :(

@Johnavisos2, may I ask what mouse do you use? Is it also a Microsoft mouse? Maybe, the problem can be narrowed down to help out @alfred-valve?

So, I downloaded Microsoft Intellipoint Software (which I really do hate), and I disabled the Accelerated Scrolling while in game and the behaviour went back to normal.. But it's also weird that it sometimes works sometimes I have to redo it in order to make it go back to the previous behaviour.

I use a Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 300. I am still searching for any solutions (without having to install the new drivers for the mouse). I hope that valve notices this and resolves it because I would like to enjoy the game again.

The problem has been tracked down to be an SDL2 problem, for a workaround see:
