[CS1.6] Client positioning players wrong sometimes #76
Comments
It is a non-steam / steam server ( protocol 47 & 48 Servers ) On protocol 48 this does not happen. |
I'm quite sure it was steam severs I were playing on. How do you check to see if this is the case or not? |
Type "status" into the console of a server you see this on and post the output here. |
Got it. Seems like this one is a protocol 48 server: hostname: BrutalCS.nu Dust2 ONLY #1 [1Gbit] version : 48/1.1.2.7/Stdio 5956 secure (10) tcp/ip : 178.236.65.37:27015 map : de_dust2 at: 0 x, 0 y, 0 z players : 32 active (32 max) |
post the full status of players if 1 is STEAM_ID_LAN then it is 47 & 48. Allso 32 plyer server tend to cause BUG to player models |
BrutalCS owns only legit steam servers. |
Didn't find any STEAM_ID_LAN. But I post all of it here just in case...
|
Hmm then it must be the server becose it is 32 slot server. never seen this error on 20 22 26 28 player servers. An 1 more bug it is like you are first person but inside spectating another player with rong NAME. the 32 end player gets this ERROR. |
What I heard was that it was AMX bug. |
k thanx for that info. |
I saw such problems on clean 12 slots server without any plugins installed, "preferable" map is de_train and most times it happens when you start recording pov demo. On server with amxx this often happens when you kick somebody, models just jumps into sky |
As @Px-x64 said this happened on every server at some point when I played some more yesterday. It doesn't matter what the player count is. However it seems to happen more often the more players there are. @alfred-valve it seems to me that the players loses what z position they have and it gets set to 0. Yesterday I thought my whole team left on dust 2 at T spawn because they all disappeared into the ground and I kept running into invisible teammates... |
@AndreiRomania Yes I know that one too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bFSJVghI5A |
I can reproduce this bug in Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, singleplayer, Windows 7.
Also, the bug reproduces when I play recorded demo |
This was happening to me on these pug servers http://threatgaming.net/servers/ which are 11 man servers so it's definitely not only the 32 man servers doing this. However, it could be amx because these servers do run that. |
Like said, it's when demo recording starts. And it has nothing to do with amxx. Same thing happens on clan-match servers, where everything is default. |
It happens sometimes when not starting to record too... |
I suppose #907 has more technical details on this bug. |
@MPNumB even though it happens when you start recording a demo sometimes, it also happens separately with nothing to do with recording a demo. |
This bug is quite old, I've seen it happen a lot of times, I don't think it's plugin related, and it's quite annoying. |
When playing the the game other players get the wrong position on my client.
It seems like a Z offset most of the times. They mostly clip into the ground or are flying. This problem remains till they jump or crouch or fall of a ledge.
When spectating I've noticed that the players sometimes teleports to different parts of the map for a while before they get moved back to where they should be.
