Hi @deepdivered,

I opened your remaining screen resolution challenges as a new issue here.

I do not have any experience with setting screen resolution for MCA games on the GPi either, but maybe we can figure it out together or someone else chimes in with a solution here.

Looking forward to a copy of the McAirpos.log and whether you got anywhere with fbset etc.

I will give that a try tomorrow and report what it says. I don't know how

or where to mess with resolution settings.

Did you get an output from:

  1. /tmp/McAirpos.log after running a game with the broken display, and
  2. the command fbset? (without any options fbset will display the mode
    settings of your framebuffer)?

Any positive development in this case, @deepdivered?

I haven't messed with it again since then largely cause my kids hardly ever use these devices since I got them. I'll have to fallow up and see if she still has interest in learning more about coding. Recently She got more into dance and drama.

No worries, @deepdivered, and I understand completely. I just thought you were back on the case again after a long time, when I suddenly heard back from you last week.

Nice if you report back here with a solution, if you ever find one. I know there are quite a few who uses RPi in the GPi case for similar setups and purposes, and who might benefit from the knowledge. -And I am a bit curious myself about the screen issues, I must admit.

I will just leave this case open for a while and see if anything comes up.

Take care!

Just bought a used GPi case with a RPi Zero, so maybe I can offer better help soon...

So, I ran into a similar issue as this half display problem. I was able to resolve it by going into RetroPie configuration, then Raspi-config, and manually set the display resolution to 640x480.
