Ensure your GPG signing key and Sonatype credentials are available in your Maven settings.xml file (found at either ~/.m2/ or /usr/share/maven/conf/). You can check the settings have been applied correctly by running the command:
mvn help:effective-settings
<settings xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/SETTINGS/1.2.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://maven.apache.org/SETTINGS/1.2.0 http://maven.apache.org/xsd/settings-1.2.0.xsd"> <localRepository>~/.m2/repository</localRepository> <servers> <server> <username>XXXXXX</username> <password>***</password> <id>sonatype-nexus-staging</id> </server> </servers> <profiles> <profile> <properties> <gpg.keyname>gpg_key_name</gpg.keyname> <gpg.passphrase></gpg.passphrase> </properties> <id>gpg</id> </profile> </profiles> <activeProfiles> <activeProfile>gpg</activeProfile> </activeProfiles> <pluginGroups> <pluginGroup>org.apache.maven.plugins</pluginGroup> <pluginGroup>org.codehaus.mojo</pluginGroup> </pluginGroups> </settings>
The output should include your
gpg_key_name
