Documentation licensing #372
Comments
/assign |
@estelaris - I think this is a very important piece of documentation to have. We are seeing more and more conversations about licensing and what you can and can't do, having the information up front and maybe even candidly speaking to end-users I feel is important. If WordPress is going to compete with closed-source, proprietary, "walled garden" frameworks and PaaS - this is a great opportunity to set the CMS apart. I even had questions as someone who has developed on WP over the last 10 years recently what a best practice would be. Happy to take this on over time, have a couple things that are a little more priority right now but hopefully over the next couple of weeks we can get something drafted up for this. |
Un-assigning myself, I'll work on some of the DevHub and plugin handbook updates that come up over here. Haven't figured out how to work on HelpHub yet, and there are quite a few dev tickets open so I'll focus on those @estelaris :) |
