After much frustration with IRC mirror bots I finally found Macarena, and it works perfectly. We use it as a relay for the Monero Research Lab, who have their own private IRC server and want to be able to participate in discussions in #bitcoin-wizards on Freenode. We also use it as the primary relay between irc2p (i2p's IRC network) and Freenode for a bunch of projects, from tahoe-lafs to kovri.

I have a small PR that adds ServerPass support for the IRC connection, and then two things that jump out at me (but I lack the time to add them myself) -

• I've just commented out the "I have connected to " bot.Network.Name, but I'd prefer to add an option for that
• I'd like to be able to specify a bind IP per connection. It seems net.Dial can take an optional addr, so it isn't that much work, but lack of time;)
