While building the monitoring tool, I noticed that the p2p/peers metric is missing. This metric is essential because it helps us evaluate the quality of dial candidates and identify failures (e.g., wrong chain, too many peers, etc.) from our discovery methods.

We should add this metric, along with others, to enhance our ability to monitor and improve the reliability of peer connections within our network. These additions will provide better visibility into the performance and health of our network connections.
