Smapi won't even scan the mods??

I've downloaded the apk provided due to the fact that the SMAPI installer keeps giving me erros. I have put all of my mods into the Stardew Valley/mods folder, I can't move them to data/zane/strardew valley due to my device being non rooted.

1. Could it be because of the fact that I can't move them to the data/zanestardew valley folder?
2. I also have a dumb habit of wanting to keep my space free so after extracting the ZIP files I've deleted them and have only left the folders behind. Could that be the issue?

1. mods can only be loaded in game when you place them inside the android/data/com.zane folder, as to how you can access that folder it depends on your device.. most phones could access it thru 3rd party manager apps while some stricter ones can only be accessed if connected to the pc like samsung devices.
