  • The team should always meet in person, no virtual meetings.
  • The team should meet for 1-2 hours the day the project is assigned and 1-2 days before it is due.
  • The meetings will be very informal with a pseudo-democratic approach to designating tasks which will be based upon skill and previous experience
  • The group will use Slack for communications between the two main meetings
  • Progress will be tracked via commits to each branch on the project git repository and github issue trackers
  • Responsibilites will be designated at the first meeting via skill and previous experience
  • New features in new branches, merge into master via pull requests, responsibilities can be changed via communication using slack
  • Testing should be heavily enforced by grading but no metric is necessary
  • The team will be forced to pick up the slack for non-responsive or helpful members, and this should be documented
  • Bugs should be tracked using github issue tracker
  • The customer should submit a full specification at the beginning of the project, this is the specification which must be built to. Any ambiguities must be addressed by the developers before building.
  • Standard nodejs coding standards from an established entity such as Google
  • Should changes to the spec occur and there is no way around it the team must hold a meeting with 2 days to address the changes
  • Adherence will be determined by the ability of the final project to complete the desired task as well as the fault tolerance and test-coverage of the code
