Hello all.

Student applications for Google Summer of Code are officially open. The list of accepted organizations is here - though you're likely interested in this one.

Here's a list of resources so we can make sure to do our research before bombarding the mentors with questions -

  • aimacode's aima-gsoc repo containing the list of project ideas (not Python-specific)
  • a list of all discussions on aima-python mentioning 'gsoc'
  • @Chipe1's post on their GSoC 2017 work
  • @MrDupin's post on their GSoC 2017 work
  • GSoC on Twitter (some nice engagement with the community and videos about what makes a good GSoC-er, etc) and on IRC (great place to get the latest updates)
  • some useful blogposts here and here
  • @MrDupin's personal blog also has some great advice here
  • finally, resources to help with git: this and this might be good starting points.

Good luck everyone!
