I'd like to leave this issue here, so if I understood correct, the service will be removed. Does it make sense to remove those examples and mention from this repository?

From aiven console:

I think it would be good to update the elasticsearch examples to work for opensearch instead, and rename them and their directory.

Sure, this is being started here with the Python example. The changes are only suggestions from the reviewer. We can migrate go and after delete elasticsearch folder. What do you think?
