There are word processors which use RTF ...

RTF doesn't support metadata so the question is, how to do the metadata?

  • Use a file, foobar.html.rtf.yaml, to hold the metadata
  • Put the document-to-be-edited in foobar.rtf
  • Add a feature to the Configuration to ignore certain file types, hence ignore the .rtf file
