Figure out what to do for Hacktoberfest #1
Comments
I've assigned the 4 people who said they wanted to take part in organising the hacksession. I'll draft a message we could send to #general and an email we could send to REG and start a Slack chat between the four of us to talk about it |
For the rust_gpiozero project I'm pulling together some material needed so that anyone interested can get started as quickly as possible: |
@llewelld that's great! If you are in the rustaceans group, could advertise there if people want to join you? |
I think the hacksession was a success. I counted 16 participants, at least 4 new PRs, and work on at least 4 existing/unfinished PRs, just counting the ones reported on Slack. Ryan explicitly expressed interest in attending similar events in the future, and I think a few others made sounds in a similar direction. I think we should discuss in the next OSSA catch-up if this is something we want to try again or make recurring. I'll keep this issue open until the end of the month. |
Done. See #18 for a continuation |
