device_tracker location speed attribute changes to MPH despite home assistant being set to metric

Describe the bug

I noticed when driving, the speed would update in real time thanks to TeslaMate, however once a minute it would display the speed in MPH (driving 105km/h, number in HA switches to 65), and if i was on cruise control it would stay in MPH until i changed speed and presumably TeslaMate MQTT overrides it.

All other metrics (odometer, temperature, etc) appear to still be in metric

Debug

No relevant logs, just repeatedly setting speed from MQTT
