Feature-wish: Double-press of Control-Key to trigger Escape

I use double-press on shift in IDEA suite of products from JetBrains all the time and would love to be able to double-press on Control to trigger Escape.

I'm not sure if this applies to your particular use case but you can often use Ctrl-[ as an alternative to Escape without the need for additional software.
