AMP Charter

Section 0: Guiding Principles (optional)

AMP’s vision and mission statements and its design principles are defined on the AMP website.

Section 1: Scope

AMP is an open source web component framework that provides a well lit path for web performance and user experience best practices.

Section 2: Relationship with OpenJS Foundation CPC.

Technical leadership of the AMP project is delegated to the AMP Technical Steering Committee (TSC) by the OpenJS Cross Project Council (CPC). The TSC is also responsible for deciding how to allocate earmarked funds it might receive through the Foundation. Amendments to this charter and to AMP's governance document require approval from both the CPC, through its decision-making process, and the TSC, following the decision-making policy defined in the AMP governance document.

AMP’s governance model and its various governing bodies are defined in AMP’s governance document.

The AMP TSC delegates responsibilities for AMP’s operations and management to the AMP Working Groups as described in the TSC's Role section of AMP’s governance document.

Section 4.2: Decision-making, Voting, and/or Elections (optional)

AMP’s decision-making policy is defined in AMP’s governance document.

Section 4.3: Other Project Roles (optional)

Other project roles are defined in AMP’s governance document and defined in or referenced from the Contributing documents of repositories in which additional roles are relevant.

Terms used throughout the project are defined in the Glossary section of AMP’s governance document.
