Probably a known issue, but in case it isn't, for some reason, Notes appear to have no way to be deleted. This is terribly confusing. Please fix it. ^_^;

Thanks, it's good to know somebody actually uses the feature.
I am quite certain that an early version for Exalted Third Edition will have a way to delete entries.

Well, in the meantime, the meaningless notes which exist for no reason are annoying... any suggestions in the meantime? XD

Also, is that version going to be backwards compatible with 2.5E, since I’m not sure when I’m going to be picking up 3E yet?

I use Notes for things not directly attributable to a specific session, which would just exist within a campaign on a broad, general basis. For instance, a Manse which the Exalted characters may or may not eventually go looking for, or an interesting place to explore, if the players go that direction. Stuff that doesn’t fit the typical session framework, but I want to associate with a campaign nonetheless.

In the meantime? Well, first of all you could tell me whether you are using the old "Note" feature or the new "Scribe" feature. If it's the former (the one with styling buttons on the right, where you select either "Note" or "Series" in a Dialog), you actually can delete them via the "Import/Export" dialog, where you exported your characters as well.
If its the latter, you would have to manually wade through your repository folder (find it through the preferences dialog), identify the note in question, and delete the file.

The 3E versions won't contain a trace of support for 2.5E.

@Tenacious-Techhunter, the above was an actual question, although I didn't make it clear.
Which of the two features for keeping Notes do you use, the new one or the old?

Well, I only started using Anathema a month ago, and I had one note there.

Deleting Notes through the Import & Export doesn’t work. Not only are individual notes not listed, but trying to delete the entire “Note Repository” and start from scratch just leads to an error.

In that case, I assume you are using the new interface

not the old one

Correct?

Also, thanks for mentioning the issue when trying to delete the "Notes" entry itself. Obviously, the button should be disabled.

I currently have 3 notes... the first, was created in the older version, but naturally imported with the newer version. The second is the one you guys use by default to illustrate the new markup. The third was created because I was having trouble deleting the markup illustration note, and didn’t want to delete my own note, which I actually cared about. So one note created the old way, one note created by you guys by default through the new version, and one created by me.

The button shouldn’t merely be disabled if you’re not meant to delete the entire “Notes” respository... The “Notes” repository should be greyed out, to discourage selection in the first place.
No offense, but you guys are kind of lost in the woods when it comes to user interface...

May be we are, but that hasn't stopped us from creating a fan-favorite program :-)

I don't think that an expandable label that looks disabled would conform to my expectations - there are more options than simple deletion, after all. Without further evidence, I'll stick to disabling the button or just deleting all items, whichever is simpler.
It's not a core feature, after all.

I would have it set to ask if the user wants to delete all items, and if they confirm, all items get deleted. Reasonable level of precaution, added usability.
Here’s the thing; did you really intend that to allow exporting or duplicating ALL the notes simultaneously? Does it do that in its current state? If not, you may be better greying it out, and saving yourself the trouble of building 3 features for consistency.

With regards to it being a core feature or not, if you’re not going to give the user easy ownership of the files Anathema generates, then you’ve got to give them file management. You may just want to give them an interface element that opens up the folder that has everything in it, all neat, organized, and labeled, so they can do their own file management, if you’re not going to ensure that they can do their own organizing and cleanup.
